PARTY TIPS

Plan ahead

Plan ahead, it's attention to the details that makes the difference. Make a list and shop smart.

What you need is just a little organization so that you won't feel too stresses out before, during and after the party. It's a time when you should be enjoying yourself.

Make a list. A list will allow you to remember and study what you will need for the party.

Buy all your supplies in advance.

Choose a party Theme

Party theme is the main design concept that you will use for the whole party, it adds entertainment to the whole event. Once the theme is decided, visualize what 2 colors come to mind. Then visualize shapes and characters for your theme. Buy items that are in your two colors and match your visualized shapes and character (balloons, plates, cups, table covers, etc.).

Party Invitations

Try to make them fun and different. Tell your guests when the party starts and when it will end. Specify the hour in advance to avoid confusion. Send invitations on time. No leave the invitations for the last minute.

Take pictures and video

Make sure you have extra batteries and tapes ready.

Get you camera and video camera ready well in advance, so when your child blows out the candles on that special birthday cake, you will be more than ready to capture that special moment on film or video.

Capture all the precious moments of your party for all time by talking pictures with your camera and your video camera, ask a friend or family to help you.

Cake

The cake is the focal point of most birthday parties, that is why is important to have something unforgettable. That doesn't mean spending a lot of money. You do not have to be a professional cake maker in order to create amazing homemade birthday cakes.

If you are decorating the cake, if possible, bake the cake the day before you plan to decorate it. A freshly baked cake can be difficult to work with. Otherwise place the cake in the freezer for 25 minutes so it will be easy to work with.

Use the web to get ideas. You will find thousands of homemade cake photos, preparation tips, recipes, frosting techniques, a lot of information to help you create you own beautiful birthday cakes.

Food

If you are doing it yourself, you should opt for dishes that you can easily put together, and would only require simple ingredients. Simple dishes will not only let you spend less time in the kitchen, they will also allow you to save money.

Decoration

A nice and simple decoration will be enough. Try to start with the basic decoration first, tables, centerpieces, streamers.

Decorating with balloons, everyone loves balloons regardless of gender or age. Hang the balloons in the right spots around the room to place them so they are not in the way or blocking anyone's view. Corners of windows or doors, on top of furniture, and higher up on walls are great places to hang them.

No matter what kind of party you are throwing, balloons are always a great way to go. Balloons are inexpensive.

Thank you notes

It's important to let everyone know how much they were appreciated for attending your party. If this is a kid birthday party, thank you notes allow child to be involved in showing gratitude. The child can help to thank their friends for coming to the party.
